As per its name; it is GRAND. I visited the zoo with my husband and 18 months old baby and had a wonderful experience here with the Sky-lift, and elephant train. Although I didn't have much time to explore the zoo; only did tiger watching which was an experience for me. FACTS OR SUGGESTIONS
Parking is not free but it would depend on the time and the amount of ticket purchased. Elephant train ticket is cheap that is 2000 KRW per person for one way. But you could buy another ticket on the spot ( near the elephant stop) for coming back too. Sky-lift also has a ticket for going up or going down. They are very safe even to go with your infants, toddlers kids, or old age people. Detailed information could be provided on the information desk as well. For kids, parents can rent strollers inside the zoo at the entrance gate which is buy-the-way not free but they are at affordable prices. The zoo is huge and can not be covered on foot by normal people. Inside the zoo, there is a free bus service at distances. Inside the zoo, there are gs and cu or gift shop to have some snacks or water but not...
Read moreOn our last day in Seoul before flying back to our country, we decided to visit the Seoul Grand Park Zoo—and it turned out to be one of the best decisions of our trip, especially with our twin kids. We had such a wonderful time!
The zoo is huge! We only managed to explore less than half of it, but every moment was enjoyable. One of the highlights? Definitely the Sky Lift. It's a must-try! Riding high above the park, we got a breathtaking view of the entire zoo. My kids absolutely loved it—and honestly, so did I!
If you're visiting Seoul with children, I highly recommend spending a day at Seoul Grand Park. It's totally worth it—for the scenery, the experience, and the memories. You can easily get there by subway via Seoul Grand Park Station, and the entrance fee is very affordable.
Next time, we're planning to return and explore the parts we missed. I can’t wait to go back with my kids and...
Read moreThe zoo was alright. It has changed a ton over the past 10 years. This is not a good change either. The flower garden that was at the entrance to the zoo is no longer there. It has been replaced by a huge tiger statue. That is strike one. Many of the exhibits are under construction, so there are not too many animals to see - strike two. A good handful of the exhibits are outright closed - strike three. I understand this could be due to the pandemic and some of those exhibits that are closed are indoor ones. That is understandable; however, maybe they could post this information up on their website? This could save people time while they are at the zoo. Overall the animals seemed to be very lethargic and honestly a little pathetic. The magic has disappeared from this place. Hopefully once this pandemic blows over the zoo will get...
