We went there without a tour and I should have taken it as a warning when the staff at the information counter near Nami Island was not aware of Italian Village. It was a weekday and the bus to the village was very long. The entrance to the village itself was up a steep hill and after that a few flights of stairs to reach the top. It is not convenient for people with mobility issues.
The park was fully deserted and the reason was very obvious, it's old and not easy to get to the place. We took about less than 30mins to go through the village. The restaurant, village, everything was deserted with no staff and was really quite creepy.
The bus intervals are also very long especially during noon which means you have to take a pretty expensive call taxi back to Nami. Read moreWent to Italia Village Pinocchio & Da Vinci, early in the morning - really cute place. To access there village, we have to walk up a steep slope to reach the location. The first thing that you will see is a huge sculpture of Pinocchio, overlooking a lake and hill - really pretty. Really lovely place - there is even a bubble machine in the main square!

If you want to avoid a crowd and do not have children, winter is fine for a date. There are a variety of different activities and programs. Many Koreans probably come for posing next to the buildings, but for people interested in history and antique toys, this is a great place. Use the map to get the full experience, don't just wander around! The Da Vinci museum is a wonderful place to get inspired to make something of your life and...
