During our recent trip along the coastline, we had the delightful surprise of stumbling upon Bomunsa Temple. Although the temple itself wasnโ€™t open during our visit, we were still able to explore the outdoor exhibits, which turned out to be a fantastic experience!

The highlight was undoubtedly the stunning view from the temple grounds. It provided a breathtaking backdrop that made for some incredible photos, perfect for capturing the essence of our journey. The outdoor exhibit featuring the 12 zodiac signs was particularly engaging. It was not only visually appealing but also sparked curiosity and excitement among the kids, who loved exploring the different signs and their meanings.

Overall, Bomunsa Temple was a lovely unexpected find on our travels. Even without access to the temple itself, the view and the outdoor exhibits made it well worth the stop. If you're traveling along the coast, I highly recommend taking a moment to enjoy this...

A wonderful Buddhist temple. The pictures here are at the base, where you can stroll and enjoy different offerings. ๅฑฑๆˆฟๅฏบ literally translates to mountain room temple, referring to the cave which is well worth the short hike.

You'll pay a small fee (1000krw) to take the climb up to the cave, where you can spend some time in meditation/reflection and send a prayer.

Very beautiful climb, plenty of resting areas, peaceful and serene with Buddhist chants in the cave itself.

Highly recommend early or later when the weather is nice, you will have awesome views, but lots of people as well during peak...

It's cool because its literally a cave in the middle of the mountain. The stairs are well maintained, so everyone can go up even having to do some dtips to rest As a lot of other temples in korea I feel like it's been "contaminated" with man's stuff. There was a table where you could take a candle to put on the shrine but it was really not aesthetically pleasing. There were a lot of objects that made it look messy. This is all from an perspective of aesthetic.

You should miss it if you are there, it took me at most half an...
