I recently visited Sanbanggulsa Temple, and while we arrived when it was closed, we still had a wonderful experience. The outdoor walking path surrounding the temple is quite impressive, adorned with numerous statues that add a unique charm to the area.
The walk up the path is beautiful, offering a peaceful atmosphere that allows you to appreciate the natural surroundings. The blend of the temple's architecture with the scenic landscape creates a serene environment that's perfect for a leisurely stroll.
Once we reached the top, the view was simply breathtaking. You can see the surrounding landscape, which is a great reward for the walk. Even though we couldn't explore the temple itself, the outdoor experience was more than enough to make our visit memorable.
Overall, I would recommend stopping by Sanbanggulsa Temple, even if you find it closed. The walking path and the stunning views make it a worthwhile destination for anyone looking to enjoy a bit of nature and tranquility. I hope to return in the future to explore the temple...
Read moreWhile visiting Jeju, I found this temple on the map and knew I had to visit. There are a lot of stairs to climb so you have to be physically ready for it, some people don’t like it or cannot climb, so there is a small gift shop at the bottom (beginning) where you can sit and wait. I found this temple to be very peaceful and scenic with the view of the Yeongmori coast.
I prayed to Buddha when I got up to the top of the temple and also prayed inside the temple. I drank water from the cave while I prayed to Buddha and inside the temple I prayed and made a wish. I also prayed outside to the golden statue Buddha and pressed my head three times on the statue, for good luck. When I came home, I later discovered my wish had come true ✨. This made me believe 100% that the Buddha and this temple heard my prayers. I 100% recommend this temple, and also visited the gift shop to support the monks who live and...
