It was a Typhoon day on the day I went. Route 1 is a very good trail. It goes to the top of the mountain, goes down to the coast. I can picture how beautiful it would be when the weather is good. Olle trail doesn't take you up to the popular sight, Seongsan Ilchubong Peak (sunrise peak), only pass by. It's worth going to see the sunrise or sunset. It has a great view, and you can have a walk around the park, watch the Haenyeo show there, then back to Olle trail along the sea!!

I would definitely advise to go up the Seongsan on the way. A few part of the hike are next to the road...

지금까지 6~7곳의 올레길을 가봤지만, 현재까지는 최고의 올레길 코스 였습니다. 성산일출봉을 멀리서 지켜보고 일출봉으로 향하는 코스는 제주의 정말 아름다운 모습을 들여보다보기에 손색이 없습니다. 올레를 여행하실 분들에게 꼭 1코스를 추천 드리고 싶네요. 자전거를 이용하실수 있는 일부분의 코스가 있구요. 길 초반의 난이도가 높지만 올레길이 끝나갈때 쯤부터는 평탄한 길을 따라가므로 초반고비만 넘기시면 완주가 어렵지 않다고 생각 됩니다.
