Garak Market — Attraction in Seoul

Go early if you are wanting to get yourself some fresh fruits and veges. However if you are going alone without a guide, things are difficult as most vendors don’t speak much English and even with Google translate- you are lost in translation! The fish/seafood part is not on the side as the fruit and vege section, you’ve got to walk past the seafood wet market and go a little along. When you see all the tanks and photos as previous reviews, you are at the right place! Then buy yourself the seafood you would like and bring it upstairs. They do charge you per head for processing not per item! So if you are going with a group of people, buy a bit more for your tasting platter to make it worth the base price that you’ll be paying. This is where you can find some good quality meat and seafood at an affordable price! So many options available. After purchasing, you can go up to the third floor to cook and eat. Just have to pay a small fee to use their equipment and space and anything else you purchase to eat and drink will be added to the tab. Super nice restaurant but there is a long wait so be prepared to wait. It’s better to go earlier in the day to get the best meats because some stalls close earlier than others. Great place to find just about whatever you need. There is a market on the first floor the sells a variety of foreign goods. They have a particularly large baking section. There is also a vegetable market in the basement with great prices on fruits and vegetables. The fish market is clean and has decent prices but you will want to border.
