As other visitors have mentioned, this place is lovingly run by a wonderful British couple who are very welcoming and kind. They have put their hearts into this project and take excellent care of their animals! One note on finding it: the parking location is marked correctly on Google and Apple Maps. Once you park, you’ll see a sign that says “Menorca Donkey Rescue”. Follow the walking path to the right and go through the tunnel that goes under the main road. You will then see it immediately. Do not take the walking path to Alaior. We had a little bit of trouble upon arriving so just wanted to make note of this for others.

This Donkey rescue is run by a small but dedicated number of individuals looking after the Donkeys. A little bit hard to find but the turning on the right before the slip road to Son Bou when coming from Mahón on the ME1. Look for the small sign as seen in my pic below. Limited visiting hours and even more in off season so best check on Facebook or messenger. Several areas that the donkeys graze in. Apples, carrots and donations always welcome. You are able to feed and pet the Donkeys. Worth a visit!

Such a lovely place! It's purley run by voulneteers, even when they are busy working they will happily spend the time talking to you about the donkeys and the sanctuary. Make sure to say hi to pepper pig who sits for a treat and look out for the little tortoise on the track. It's recommended to bring carrots and apples to feed the donkeys with. For opening times they do vary so check their Facebook page as they post the night before what hours they will be open to the public.

Really lovely place! Met with Sunni and volunteer Sarah. Both ladies very lovely and hard working. Donkeys are well looked after and very gentle. Definitely a place to stop by! They donkeys love apples and carrots as well as watermelons, but make sure you have a knife to cut apples in half etc. They open at around 10ish. I went at 12 and stayed till 1 (siesta) so its a good time to come. Wear sensible shoes as some of the pathways are very rocky. Donations are always welcome as its non profit so would recommend donating too! They sell some merchandise of which the money goes towards the donkeys care. A must visit...

A small patch of land where a dedicated volunteer team rescue and help donkeys back to health and give them a happy life. Please take some carrots or apples. Monatory donations greatfully accepted, but not compulsory.

There is a small patch of land off of the north side of the Me1 where you can park and you walk through a tunnel under the road to the south side. Best to use google maps to locate.

We had a lovely visit and met all the inhabitants including cats and a rather large pig, that loves biscuits!

You can groom the donkeys and they love...
