I stayed in a villa that was no more than a five minute walk allowing me access to an observation tower that faces the wetlands with stunning mountains in the background. The first evening I came over I counted approximately 2 dozen flamingos and was treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen. I recommend binoculars as the birds are perhaps 200-300 yards or meters away.

Had an amazing time visiting this wetland nature reserve. Egrets, herons and flamingos were seen from the viewing tower - you get an amazing perspective of the surrounding landscape. Would recommend bringing binoculars as there didn’t appear to be any designated paths you could follow to get closer to open waterbodies and marshland areas.

This is a beautiful place. With the Tramantana mountains as a backdrop, you can sit on an observational tower or in the bird hide and watch the wildlife. A little difficult to find on your first visit but worth the effort, and once you find the entrance, the circular walk is fairly well signed. Then just across the main road are the...
