Andarax Park — Attraction in Almeria

Excellent huge park. Good for families, walking, jogging and dog walking. There is a bicycle circuit off road all around the park. Plenty of parking around the park in several small carparks and also along the perimeter roads. There are plenty of bins and benches. Drinking water fountains, a huge dog park sectioned into 3 separate areas that can be separated by closing gates..1 agility/dog training area and 2 play areas. There are about 3 toilet blocks (not inspected by me) a couple of childrens play parks with equipment. Lots of different walking routes. Two fenced off ponds...one huge with ducks, turtles and a bridge. Lots of grassy areas. The ponds are surrounded by mosquitoes including summer:( There is an area for barbecues, not sure if it's permitted in summer? The park has many exit/entrance gates all around it, however, only the gates ar either end seem to be opened. I think the park is locked at night but I'm not sure of opening and closing times. There isn't the usual rubbish within the park, it is kept nicley clean. The walking routes are suitable for wheelchairs and childrens buggies. It's all fenced off for safety of...

SPANISH/ESPAÑOL: Una gran parque periurbano que recibe su nombre del Río Andarax, que se encuentra justo al lado Cuenta con acceso en carril bici (el cual lo rodea), carteles informativos, bancos y papeleras, aseos públicos, zona de juegos infantiles y de gimnasia para adultos y fuentes de agua potable. También cabe destacar zonas acotadas y parcelada para las mascotas, por esto y porque está al lado de la Perrera recibe el nombre de "Parque de los perros". Destaca su gran lago central con un puente que conecta una especie de isleta central. Entre la fauna de este parque encontramos numerosos clases de aves (gorriones, palomas, patos) y tortugas. Cabe destacar su variedad de flora, que va desde almendros y olivos, hasta diferentes clases de cactus. Destacar también una zona de barbacoas, la cual hoy en día no puede ser utilizada por la situación post-cuarentena.

Su horario es de 8 de la mañana a 10 de la noche, quedando en su interior un equipo de vigilancia cuando está cerrado

ENGLISH/INGLÉS: A large peri-urban park named after the Andarax River, which is located right next to it. It has access on a bicycle rail (which surrounds it), informative signs, banks and litter bins, public toilets, a children's play area as well as an adult gym and drinking water sources. It is also worth noting bounded areas and parcels for pets, for this and because it is next to the Kennel, it is locally called "Dog Park". Its large central lake stands out with a bridge that connects a kind of central island. Among the fauna of this park we find many kinds of birds (sparrows, pigeons, ducks) and turtles. It should be noted its variety of flora, which ranges from almond and olive trees, to different kinds of cacti. Also note a barbecue area, which currently cannot be used due to the post-quarantine situation.

¡Un respiro verde junto al río! 🌿 Este parque es una sorpresa agradable para quienes buscan naturaleza y tranquilidad sin salir de la ciudad. Con zonas arboladas, caminos amplios para pasear o ir en bici, y hasta áreas deportivas, es perfecto para desconectar.

Me encanta su ambiente relajado: familias paseando, deportistas entrenando al aire libre y hasta grupos de amigos haciendo picnic junto al cauce (¡trae tu manta y algo de comer!). Los atardeceres aquí, con las vistas de la sierra, son una maravilla. 🌄

Para peques, hay columpios y espacio para correr, aunque no es un parque tan infantil como el de las Familias. Eso sí, es mucho más amplio y natural.

Único "pero": En verano, agradecerías más fuentes o sombra en algunos tramos. Pero con gorra y botellita de agua, ¡se soluciona!

Ideal para: Paseos matutinos, deporte, leer bajo un árbol o planes tranquilos en buena compañía. ¡Volveré seguro! 😊
