We stayed in the Hotel Thermas, which is a lovely ancient building with such character. Inside, it's clean and bright, infact we watched the cleaners each day not only cleaning in general but literally getting ladders and wiping down each lamp hanging from the ceiling. We stayed in the junior suite, not a thing out of place, not a stray hair, not a bit of dust- our cleaner Gloria did an amazing job. We had 3 people in our room, they gave us 6 towels, 3 bathrobes, a fridge, 2 tvs, a king bed and a pull out in the other small room, walk in shower with 2 sinks, ac in both rooms, tea and water available with a kettle. There's 3 hotels that all share the thermal baths. There's an inside and outsise area, we preferred the inside as it was warmer and had more bubble chairs, sprayers, and "lazy rivers". The common areas were spotless, the unisex bathrooms were spotless. There's a bar available at the baths so you can have a drink and snack without leaving the area. The spa itself was reasonably nice except my daughter and I had the same massage but we had different massages, so im not sure if they are certified RMTs. We also had drills blasting during our massage so it wasn't totally relaxing. Our massage was in the area attached to the office to get into the pools. Food wise, there's a few places. We had breakfast at the hotel, which is buffet style and has a pretty goos selection of pastry, fruits, juices, and bacon and scrambled eggs. The hotel also has a very basic dinner available, it didnt look appealing at all. There's a more upscale place within the pool area opposite the bar, but we didn't attend as there wasn't any vegetarian options. The casino was the best spot, it offered drinks, snacks, and a few mains and desserts. Otherwise, you have to go into the town to get more selection, which I recommend. Scenic little place, super clean, and relaxing. Also, lovely amount of cats who...

As a treat when friends visited from England we visited balneario de archenna and was rather disappointed after hearing good reviews. The pools and setting was great the pools was warm and relaxing unfortunately we felt the food and treatments let it down. The food was all pre-cooked and just reheated, myself and my eldest had chicken and chips from the children's menu and it was like it had just been dropped in the chip pan to reheat and my youngest had pasta bolognais it came out stone cold I asked them to warm it up, I saw them put it in the microwave but it came back still barely warm. Needless to say my daughter didn't eat it. The waitress was very clear she would rather be somewhere else and moved at a snails pace. Myself and my friend booked treatments in advance, her a back massage and myself the archenna special massage. When we arrived I asked how long they lasted as it hadn't been mentioned in previous correspondence we was absolutely shocked to be to told my friends lasted only 10 minutes and mine half an hour. I now know why it isn't stated anywhere because no one would book them if tgey new. In previous correspondence I had mentioned medical issues for us both and when we arrived we wasn't once asked about them. When the massage started I repeatedly asked the girl to be more gentle as the pressure was painful with my condition and I was ignored. As soon as she had finished I was told to get off the bed (no time to relax and prepare myself ) and was then blasted off with a hosepipe from head to foot (no gentle shower) it was only after I told her what my condition was that she looked slightly remorseful and new she had been to rough. I was quickly ushered out. It felt like I was on a production line. And I think the parking was very expensive it cost 8 euros for a few hours in the afternoon. I feel it's a shame because I think these things let down what is a...

The pools and spas are well maintained and nice and clean. Staff are helpful and friendly. There is the Casino bar, which serves snacks. A couple of small cafe areas, as well as the restaurant/bar with terrace in the spa areas which serves super food. There 3 hotels on site, two of which are 4☆ and the other is a 3☆hotel. We have stayed in one of the 4☆ hotels on 4 separate occasions and were very pleased with the standard of the rooms and the levels of service.

We have on each occasion had the pleasure of taking our breakfast and evening meal in the hotel restaurant, on this occasion we also had lunch in the hotel restaurant too. The food is always very fresh and well presented, with buffet style breakfast. Our lunchtime and evening meals were from the menu which offers several choices for starters and main and there are also several choices of dessert each day too. They have a good selection of wines available to accompany your meals if you want to select from the lists. They will keep back your unfinished bottle for you to have the next time if you require.

There are some lovely shops which sell some very reasonably priced goods that are of excellent quality. Some items are very unusual, pretty jewelry, there are some great ornaments etc, swimwear, bathrobes and some boutique clothing.

Within Hotel Termas there is the special thermal treatments available in the subterranean spa. In the grounds there is the medical suite, doctor, physio, and others. In the pool area there is the other therapeutic treatments, like massages and even a hairdressers.

Such a great place to relax and enjoy a breakaway from the norm.

The staff at the hotels, restaurants, spa and pool areas are all so helpful, friendly, very polite and efficient. It really makes for a very pleasant stay, they seem to have the...

We booked a couple plus Balneario in the spa for a Thursday daytime. I tried to book online but the website wasn’t working properly and didn’t allow me to book, I tried to call the English speaking number, unfortunately no one answered the ringing telephone. I got in touch with the spa via WhatsApp and was answered very quickly, I asked for someone who can speak English as Afraid I do not speak Spanish. Someone came on within a minute or two, they answered all of my queries, checked availability and booked the spa deal for me. There was a check my credit card worked with a 1 cent withdrawal and refund and I was told I would pay on arrival. All Costs were very clear, I was told to bring a padlock, flip flops and swimming hat with me, if I didn’t have them I could purchase upon arrival. We arrived, parked and walked in, I was greeted by a lovely lady at reception who asked an English speaking colleague to assist me, everything was very straightforward and we had no issues. We went into the spa, got changed locked everything away and headed off to the massage, what a wonderful place! We loved it, needed up spending 7 hours in the spa/pool area. Everything was very clean and well maintained, every member of staff was helpful and polite, even the maintenance guys we saw checking the pool said hello and smiled at us. Everything was working, we had no problems or issues at all. The cafe by the pool was not expensive. We will be coming back next year and will be telling everyone we know to come. Thank you for an amazing day out!

I have been coming to the Thermal swimming pools here for over 20 years but regret to say that I was quite disappointed with my last visit. Over the last few years entry prices have steeply increased well above inflation, but the facilities have generally deteriorated. Cleanliness and maintenance is poor and the place is starting to look shabby and dated. Windows were filthy, window frames severely rusty, masonry broken (possibly dangerous in places), paintwork patchy, lights broken, and weeds poking through the concrete everywhere. Bathrooms are dirty and several appliances (urinals, hand dryers etc.) not functional. They have replaced outdoor grass areas with artificial grass and removed several plants and greenery. They have taken out the locker locking mechanisms (that took a 1 euro deposit) and now you need to use your own lock or buy an overpriced 5 euro padlock in their shop. In general I was let down as I have known this place in better times. I hope the management take note and invest some of the high entry charges into some basic maintenance and bring this place back to how it used to be.
