Playa de Arcos — Attraction in Arcos de la Frontera

What a fantastic man made sandy beach! Plenty of free parking nearby. The water is warm and can be enjoyed by kids and adults. A life guard was present but didn't seem very vigilant. There was a road-side kiosk nearby that was selling cold drinks and ice creams. There was also a cafe. Although if you don't speak basic Spanish, you may struggle to order anything. Not far from the cafe is a place that you can hire kayaks and paddle boards etc. Again, if you don't speak some Spanish, you may not get what you want. I would highly recommend a trip to this...

Lovely place with excellent views of the town above!!! We had a great afternoon there sitting in the sun, lots of shade available under the trees if you want it. We took a coolbox and had lunch there and just chilled reading a book. A lake with a beach in a quiet location, there is food and drink available and you can hire boats to go on the lake. A lot of locals...

Wonderful place to spend the day, the lake is great for swimming with kids. Plenty of options for eating nearby too.

The only downside is the bathroom facilities at the nearby chiringuito / bar are not great. It looks like there are plans to develop the beach further, if they put a dedicated facilities block in place I think the destination...
