What a big disappointment! We were a big group and the lady doing the tour did not wait until everyone was present to start talking. Most of us heard and learnt nothing as by the time everyone arrived to the area she was moving on to the next section. She was asked to repeat in one area at the begining of the tour as everyone at the back could not hear and missed what she said. She was very rude and said 'are you trying to tell me how to do my job'. Frankly this was disgusting behaviour from someone who was meant to be guiding us around and informing us about rum production here. When we came to the rum tastings at the end she was personally very rude to me when I asked for a certain flavour (which I was going to give to my husband as he liked it ), after being told their was no option available as a drink for people who did not drink alcohol. I would of expected some water at least. Save your time and money for a different experience, at a different company that would make you more welcome and be more enjoyable where customers are treated better. A lot of our group felt the same way. I did want to buy my husband the banana rum as he really liked the taste, but I thought better and...

The place is really clean and nice. Its a smaller factory for sure, but still enjoyable. The admission fee is 7 euros, which also includes a guided tour and a tasting at the end (super good price). The tour lasts about 45-55 minutes with two language options English and Spanish (confirmed, but might be options for French and German too). The tour is good and enjoyable, you are not rushed through the factory, have time to take pictures and you can ask questions as well. At the end of the tour you will have the opportunity to taste four different rums, which is included in your ticket (if you go with somebody the glasses are added together and you will have more options for tasting). At the tasting room you will also have the options to buy some suveniers and/or products of the factory. The area of the factory and the whole place (including restrooms) are really clean and well kept. You have the option for free parking right at the gates. Overall 10/10, recommend to see while you are visiting the island. We had Bryan as our tour guide, big thanks for that fella, he was awesome and could recommend him for future tours. Thank you for the adventure...

It was interesting experience. The tour is very short about 10 min. In the end of the tour is a rum testing. You can taste only 4 types of alcohol per person. We were 3 people ,we could taste 12. If you want to taste expensive ones, you pay 7 euro per each. About products I can say I was disappointed. I didn't like any of them. My husband liked 18 years aged rum, we bought it for him for 33 euro and got a glass as a gift. But I think it's just the age made him like it. Because for me it tasted like the cheapest homemade vodka, if some one is from Russia or Ukraine, you know how "samogon" taste like. It is the cheapest drink in those countries. We also bought a toffee liquor, I can say it is not good either. Just sweet cream drink, it doesn't have aftertaste in your mouth, as it has for example "Bayleis" drinks. From all the tour it was interesting only the tasting( most of the rum making you watch from video on TV at the place), but not delicious just interesting to taste many different drinks. But if you are only one person who are visiting and can taste only 4 drinks, the factory is not...

Came here for the guided tour in English. Do take note different timings for different languages guided tour and the tour size can be quite huge of 20-30 pax. Arrived about 1130am and was told the next English tour would be at 1230pm hence bought the tickets (€7 per pax, SGD10) and walked around the town. The ticket included a flight of 4 rum tastings (which you could choose from 16 different types). There are another 3 other premium/ limited editions rums which are not included for selection under the tour fee however with addition of €7, SGD10 per glass you could try. The tour was insightful and our guide Maria explained pretty well in English. From the history of this distillery to how is rum made. Also interesting fact to note about why the distillery is called Arehucas and not Arucas. She also made sure she gathered the attention of the tour guide and everyone accounted for before starting her explanation. Highly recommended to try the Capitan Kidd 30 years rum. Aromatic and smooth!
