El Tren de l'Oreneta is a fantastic experience, especially for little ones who love trains! Nestled in a beautiful park surrounded by nature, this miniature train ride is the perfect addition to a day of outdoor fun. A few tips: If you're driving, parking can be tricky, so it's best to arrive early. If you're taking a taxi, be prepared to order a Cabify or Uber for your return trip. And for the train ride, bring cash to make things easier.

So Barcelona has this miniature steam railway that's only open on Sunday mornings, that doesn't appear in any of the tourist literature I've seen. I've been here 6 years and only just found out about the place. It's set in a lovely park with great adventure playgrounds for smaller people ;) set back behind the ring road at the bottom of Collserola above Pedralbes. Great views over the city and some lovely walks through the forest - and this volunteer-run (I believe) miniature train track offering rides to the public....
