Best walk we had in Spain. Don't be put off by the sign that states that you need to be fit or that kids under 10 can't do it. It's medium to easy difficulty, only one part 10 min has a walk up the hill be the road the rest 90% is in the shade in a lush greenery along a water canal. It's so pretty and peaceful. The dogs loved dipping in the water and the views were spectacular. I would do the walk anti click wise, as soon as you leave the car park turn right instead of going towards the bridge, it will be easier to do as it will only have one stepper hill into...

Great hike to enjoy with the family. Although at the start of the hike (in the parking lot) there is signage saying it is dangerous and not advisable for kids under 10, I would completely disagree as this is a very low to medium intensity walk along the water canal and something the kids can also enjoy, albeit the kids need to be accompanied by adults at all time.

If you are fit you can complete the trail in about 75 mins. We completed the trail in a leisurely 2 hours with the kids taking periodic breaks for snacks...

Really beautiful trail. Walk along aqueduct, over canyon. See pistachio and other trees. Serene and peaceful. We did it in early April and were lucky to be blessed with bright sunny day and mid 20s temperatures.

Did it with two kids age 14 and 8. Parked our car in the parking and then took right turn as soon as we got out of parking. As kids got tired we did not do circular route but turned back after 30-35 minutes or so.

After the walk we had our brunch in beautiful little town of Benehavis which is only 5...

Well worth doing early morning or late evenings. Wonderful views with some narrow paths and 30% shade from the many trees. Make sure and hydrate and Dog Walkers! Please clean up after your pets so that everyone can enjoy this amazing area. Please Note that certain areas of the paths are narrow and in some areas very steep especially where the upper trail goes down to the bridge. You can also walk or cycle all the way up to Benahavis Village but we would advise to drive it first as it's quite a long journey on foot. Enjoy! J
