Garden of Bertiz Lordship Natural Park — Attraction in Bertizarana

A lovely small botanical garden backing up to the national Park (hikes available).

It can be easy to miss the entrance to the gardens, at it between two buildings. There is a narrow bridge (one car wide), with an iron gateway in front of you.

Access to the carpark is on the left.

There is a large park available with benches, sheltered picnic tables and an tourist information building.

There is a wall and fence around the actual gardens.

Public toilets available.

Children's playground is also here.

The garden itself is very pretty, with sheltered walks.

Even though it was 26C, it was pleasantly cool in the gardens.

Information boards were located all the way through the grounds identifying plants.

What a lovely place to stop. There is a small entrance fee for the gardens. We paid a bout 6 euro for three of us. We spent about an hour walking around the garden. The carpark is big enough, and the grounds around it for people to sit. They have woodland walks for those who have plenty of energy to spare. When we were there the toilet were clean. Un jardín botánico de limitadas dimensiones, combinado con zonas de césped abiertas, salpicadas por esculturas de artistas vascos y navarros. Tiene varios edificios en donde pasan audiovisuales sobre la historia de la propiedad y sus dueños anteriores, además de la filosofía conservacionista actual del Gobierno de Navarra. En el parque, bordeado por el río, se pueden observar diferentes especies vegetales, tanto autóctonas como extranjeras. Monumentales pinos, abetos, hayas y cipreses, combinados con magnolios en castaños de indias, bosques de bambú y un estanque con nenúfares y otras especies acuáticas. El horario del jardín botánico es de 10 am a 14 pm y de 16 pm a 19:30 pm. La entrada general es de 3 euros y con descuento para grupos y mayores de 65 años.
