As a geologist conducting field research in the Teno mountains, this hill is one of the most special geological features I have seen. During our research, we realized it is actually a very rare clay meteorite that crashed on the volcanic island of Tenerife as it formed millions of years ago. The volcanic crust of Tenerife heated the meteorite, causing it to partially melt. This gives the hill its distinct 'pudding' shape. Locals excavated the hill many years later, using the clay to create pottery and sand castles.
