Worth a visit, for sure, but don't get your hopes up for a peaceful swim at the "beach" if you go in summer. It's a lovely spot that's of course ruined in the high season by masses of people who leave behind rubbish, toilet paper, and dirty nappies. You're better off stopping for a swim along the way to the beach (there are at least 3 other suitable and quieter places, including underneath the bridge itself). Parking is limited to about 15 cars, so either go early or park at one of the nearby restaurants and buy at least a coffee for good karma. Once parked, it's about 2.5kms each way. Make sure to wear good walking shoes and take your...

The hike begins on a wide dirt road and continues onto a narrow path with protruding, smooth stones, be careful not to slip. During the route we met a man who fell and injured his knee, fortunately for him, it was a minor injury because rescue could have been difficult. The stream creates a natural pool with snowmelt water, which is excessively cold even in mid-August. On the way to the pool there are many places to get to the water. I went to up to the pool and back, apparently the trail continues...
