Beautiful bridge in the middle of nowhere. Newly built (in 2020) and in very good shape. Easily accessible by walking the dirt road from Caneillas de Aceituno. You will have to go down (and up to get back) the hill a bit to reach the bridge, but it’s a good path down with stairs and properly maintained dirt road.

If you want more of a challenge, you can also access the bridge from the road just south of it. You can park the car by the road and walk on the side of the hill to reach the bridge. This is not a path for kids or amateurs though, the path is at times hard to see where it goes and it’s steep and you will have to hold on to plants or rocks to not fall at times. Good workout though and much more adventurous than the dirt road from...

The walk from Canillas de Aceituno has some lovely views. Arriving at the bridge(Puente) you have a great view of it from above. It is quite a steep climb down to it although steps of a sort have been put in. Crossing the bridge is not for anyone with vertigo. Only 10 people are allowed at any one time as it tends to sway. The climb out on the Sedella side is very steep with narrow walkways. On reaching the top some fantastic views. There is a well defined path to Sedella. The linear walk is 10kms in length. We left a vehicle there to transport us back to the start. Well...

Great help to hike the GR 249 from Canillas de Aceituno to Sedella. Amazing landscape inside Sierra Tejeda Natural Park. There is a amazing 1 km high difficulty stone ladder from the bridge (700m) to Mirador Pozuelos (1000m).

The negative point is related to how wild life in the area will be affected. Until now it was easy to see eagles, vultures, foxes, goats, partridges, etc. in this area which have run away due to the huge amount of people visiting the place.

NOTICE 1-10-2020: the path is dangerous. It is open to general public but it is not...
