Bodega Balcona — Attraction in Cehegín

Bodega Balcona is a beautiful small vineyard in Bullas Murcia. The wine is produced completely organically. The wine is very distinct and I’ve never tried any wine like it before. It’s absolutely delicious. An experience in the mouth you just don’t want to end. Pepa, the owner gives you a tour and explains all the particulars of their vineyard and how the wine is made. This is passion alive. We met Josephina “Pepa” in the winery and it was an extraordinary experience. She lives the passion for her wines. All organic - all fermented spontaneously - no mainstream - cannot tell how much we enjoyed. Load down google maps before you go - no coverage. And make sure to have enough cash along … no card payment … due to mention … no coverage! Lovely vineyard location, very peaceful and remote. A great family running the winery being passed down from her Grandmother through the generations. The tour was run by Mediterranean Cartagena tours, they were very knowledgeable not just about the wine but the history of Murcia which was great to hear. A lovely day out that we will return to again...
