Bodega Monastrell — Attraction in Cehegín

We have been on two or three tours at this Bodega and each time it has been excellent. Bodega Monastrell is Located in the beautiful unspoilt and protected area called Valle del Aceniche. Although Alfonso only speaks a little English he has always been able to get the information across with a little help from those of us who understand Spanish and can help to explain and even his son had been able to translate! His Bodega is immaculately clean and well organised and he is clearly someone who is very passionate about making wine and the entire process it involves. On each visit we starts outside where he explained about the area, the soil and each type of vine. He makes it interesting and fun. The tours have improved somewhat since his assistant has been working with him as he speaks very good English and, he is as passionate about wine as Alfonso. They make a great team and everyone who drinks wine or has an interest in wine should visit this bodega. We are blessed in Bullas to have such a professional who produces maybe the best wine in the DO of Bullas. Alfonso (the owner) takes the tour however he only speaks very little English. His partner Alejandro takes the tour with him and speaks good English.

I emailed to ask a question and Alejandro responded very quickly and got us booked on a tour for 6€ each.

We were asked to arrive promptly so we got there early, the place would be quite difficult to find without a Sat Nav as it feels like you're going to the middle of nowhere but Google got it spot on.

The building looks like it could be an abandoned warehouse but someone greeted us outside and started the tour in the vineyards where they spoke passionately about their philosophy. We went inside to finish the tour and to taste wines with cheese and biscuits. The wines were really good and the way they showed to taste and smell was very interesting.

I wasn't sure what to expect as thought a tour could be a little boring but it wasn't at all especially as the people were fun, friendly and welcoming.

Ignorar a los clientes deja una impresión muy negativa y genera dudas sobre la calidad del servicio.
