Cala Tuent — Attraction in Fornalutx

We traveled to this beach by car. There is no other possibility as far as I know. The narrow street winds through the mountains and it took probably more then an hour from Valldemossa. However, you can enjoy a great view on the way along the coastline.

The beach itself was not as beautiful as we expected due to gravel and rocks. If you have no problem with that it should be fine. Also there are only slippery rocks in the water and walking on it is difficult. Therefore it is a good idea to bring surf or diving shoes.

The scenery on the other hand is amazing. Especially if you float in the water and look back to the beach where in the background the mountain chain goes right next to the coast.

Cala Tuent est nichée au coeur de la serra tramuntada et y accéder demande de la patience, au gré des multiples virages. On y est vite récompensé, avec tout d'abord une vue magnifique du haut de la route qui la surplombe. La plage en elle-même n'est pas très grande, point de sable blanc ici, mais un mélange de cailloux et de sable gris. Elle est entourée de flanc de la serra tramuntada, l'horizon est lointain sur la mer méditerranée et vous serez chanceux si vous laissez le soleil tomber pour en apprécier la beauté. Le paysage sous-marin est plus intéressant que la moyenne de ce que propose Majorque, c'est un bon endroit pour le snorkeling...si les méduses vous laissent tranquille. En effet, elles peuplent parfois la plage. Enfin, le coucher de soleil y est magnifique, préférez tout de même le point culminant qui surplombe la plage pour profiter pleinement du rose et du bleu qui parent le ciel à...
