a wonderful dramatic rocky cove with a black sandy beach and the Atlantic which has different moods, saw body /board surfers - fit young men who can handle the waves, steep steps down from street which didn't stop many people including seniors from a paddle. Exhilarating! Simple fish restaurant at the top which attracts a good amount of people and has a great view of the ocean. There is salad and potatoes in their skins with dips and bread for vegans, and if you are vegetarian try the puddings! Parking for vehicles is fine, and separate parking + simple facilities for caravans too who want to park up...

Beautiful beach - you have 2 options one beach closer to the parking lot - just take the stairs down. Or second option go a little bit further on the main road and then you have a steep downhill on the left which will bring you to a lot of stairs leading to another beach. Black sand and rocks await there. We came by bus number 23 - the bus stop we got off was Cruce La Zamora. From there is was aprox. 15min walk It took us longer just because we where observing all the banana fields. The road was nice. There is no way...

We walked here from the La Palma and Teneguia Princess Hotel through the banana plantations. A 40 minutes road walk up and down some steep slopes but truly worth it to get here. The black sand beach is protected by the cliffs and a number of large rocks in the sea. The waves are quite dramatic and therefore you should not swim unless you are very confident to do so. There is car parking and a small cafe/restaurant (closed on Mondays and Tuesdays) at the top...

The steps to the smaller beach are not that steep and only take a minute or two to descend. The beach has very fine, black volcanic sand which gets everywhere. It's not a problem unless like the day we went and the beach shower wasn't working. The waves hitting the beach, although only small, were very strong. I am a strong swimmer and wouldn't attempt swimming in the sea on that day. You would be better off going to the beach at Punta Larga, in my opinion.
