Not clean place, not clean kitchen. So many green flies around the food of the customer tables. Both squids and very small chocos were rubbery, unedible, not worth eating, potatoes with internal rust spots. Overpriced food, never paid that much for poor quality food: Little “ensalada mixta” of not fresh carrot (tin shredded carrot), few tasteless lettuce leaves and sweetcorn, all for 6.40€, few “papas arrugadas” (2.70€), salsa aparte (1.30€), “chocos a la plancha” (8.60€) and “calamares a la romana” (8€). There are so many great places where to eat great fresh food, but this one it was the worst at La Palma.

This is an absolute gem of a place. A beautiful location overlooking the small beach and bay. The service is superb and the mostly fish tapas is an absolute treat. The portions are very good, the food is cooked to perfection, the pricing is very good. If you are nearby then pay it a visit. Be aware it’s closed on Mondays and Tuesdays and does get busy.

We arrived just before opening and had a walk around the beach, worth a visit. The kiosk rapidly filled upon opening and had a nice atmosphere. Chef sure does know how to prepare seafood. Super good value for money too. Dig out your 🇪🇸 translator as it’s authentic. A lunchtime visit is highly recommended.

If you are expecting a restaurant then you are out of luck, but if you are looking for a place to eat and drink while being on the beach nearby, this is something for you.

There is a variety of food available, cold and hit drinks and beer, including a very tasty lemon radler which helps to cool yourself in hot days. There is a possibility to eat within the bar or to get a take away. I was extremely positively surprised when I was handed two cups full of ice as an addition to my Pepsi that we wanted to drink at the beach.

These small things add up making it a very worthy place to visit, not because it seems to be the only one in the area, but because it provides nothing less that one would expect and even gets a few...
