El convento de las Carmelitas Descalzas del Cerro de los Ángeles se fundó en el año 1923 por la Beata Madre Maravillas recibió la inspiración divina de fundar este Carmelo, para acompañar con sus oraciones al Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. En los primeros días de la Guerra Civil es dinamitado el Monumento y las religiosas son obligadas a abandonar su Carmelo, al que volverían en 1939. Especial empeño y dedicación tuvo la entonces Hermana Maravillas, hasta ver conseguida la importante obra que Jesús la había encomendado. Ella y tres hermanas más formarían la primera comunidad que fue originariamente instalada en Getafe, hasta tanto fueran terminadas las obras del convento, del que se puso la primera piedra el 12 de abril de 1925, Pascua de Resurrección.
