Very easily accessible “wild beach” (no toilets, no bar). The tides are very pronounced here. Check online beforehand for Órzola.
Never, never sit down on wet sand – the sand is wet from the tide. Better to walk a little further than to end up lying in the (harmless but unpleasant) tidal zone. At low tide there’s actually very little water, but you can still go for a swim. At high tide snorkeling is definitely worth it – we saw many fish usually found in the Mediterranean.
If you arrive without snorkeling gear – Decathlon in Arrecife is very well stocked (depending on delivery and time of day, some items might be sold out). Swim shoes are absolutely necessary. If the parking lot is full, just be patient – spots free up quickly and even with a full lot there is plenty of space on the beach.
