The place itself is interesting.. but as the old say "it's the people that make the place", otherwise is just dirt, stones and rocks. The lady at the entrance was a real UNPROFESSIONAL as one can get! Customers skills = 0, turism skills = 0, people skills = 0. What she's good at, someone might wonder?!?! Pointing fingers at who's to blame, customer's fault, that is! I payed and scheduled on line in advance and manage to get 1h hour earlier, but she said it is not possible to go early due to a lot of ridiculous reasons...not being flexible at all. Having kids with me, it is dificult to predict when we will be able to travel to this spot, taking into account the trafic as well, etc.. one might expect some flexibility, some understanding? Right? Well, no way! You paid for entering at 11:00 AM, only an act of God can help you enter early, as the management of that place with that lady as entrance bodyguard no way, no how! Her reasons: we're fully booked (I proved to her that the tickets on their website for the next timeframes were not fully booked!), we are very full here (that was not true!, Iwas there and I felt like she was lying to my face) and other crazy reasons for not letting us enter earlier... In the end, if a place is golden like, but the people who managing it are bad, from my point of view, that place deserves to find its place into oblivion. I understand rules and regulation, they should be applied in their spirit, but in the end, remember, we are paying to visit the place; without the turist that visits the...

It is a lava cave, formed about 3,000 - 4,000 years ago following the eruption of the La Corona volcano. The incandescent lava that flowed into the sea created a tunnel over 6 kilometers long, part of which can be visited by tourists. The total length of the volcanic tunnel is about 6-7 km (including the area known as the Atlantis Tunnel that continues under the sea). The tour is accompanied by specially designed lighting to highlight the lava formations and natural colors. Some sections are used for underground concerts. It would have been nice if someone had sung at least a song so that we could witness this perfect acoustics During the guided tour, you will be shown a spectacular secret place, but tourists are asked to keep the mystery for future visitors. It is very interesting :). It is part of the same volcanic tunnel system as Jameos del Agua, another famous attraction in Lanzarote, artistically transformed by César Manrique. The tour lasts about 45 minutes, tickets can be bought online with a reservation, otherwise you can't enter. There is a very well-organized parking lot. Unfortunately, the groups are made up of a lot of people and I mean 50-60 people walking in single file, and the guide walks in front and when he stops to talk he has to wait for everyone and that always takes a long time, and what he was saying was not heard until the last person. By the way, the very kind guide spoke in Spanish and English. You have to be careful in the cave where you step and bend down when the...

If you're sightseeing in Lanzarote this is a must see. It's truly amazing and has been developed nicely for tourist (by that I mean it's been made accessible without spoiling the natural beauty). Word of warning though. You are shown round in large Groups and someone who joined our group struggled with some mobility issues. If you go, be ready for some steep steps to negotiate in low light. The ground is uneven so don't wear heels and be prepared to crouch through some sections of low tunnels. They are not long but I'm only 5'8" and needed to crouch pretty low to get through. Not an issue for most people but an older lady joined our group and she clearly wasn't expecting this. The guides english wasn't great which was a shame as this is a really interesting place. Fortunately for me my wife speaks Spanish so she was able to fill in the bits that I couldn't quite make out in his English. I felt sorry for the others in our group as listening to them speak to each other most of them were either French or German. There was no option for other languages (only Spanish or English) so it may well have been very difficult for them if they were trying to listen to...

This is such an amazing lava cave!!! The guide we had was very friendly and knowledgeable (although I heard a couple others that didn't seem as friendly). The pathways are easy to walk (although you have to duck pretty low in some areas), and the accent lighting is phenomenal. I had no clue they held concerts in there- and would absolutely love to go to one sometime (our guide also explained the science of why it is so good acoustically). Now, what is holding them back from 5 stars... The tours need to have about half the number of people. We had at least 40 people in our group (which seemed to be about average). Our guide did here best to be heard and to control the group, but it's just too many people. Hopefully this is temporary and just because they are having a hard time hiring due to covid. One last thing- get there early. As in, before they open early. This is a very popular spot for the tour busses. When one arrives and unloads, expect a long time in line. Beyond that, it's a must see on Lanzarote!!!

Unmissable place to visit in Lanzarote. A 1 km stretch of a much longer lava tunnel. Entirely underground, or inside old lava flows to be more precise. The visit is only guided. It lasts about 1 hour and there is an entrance fee of 10€. There are combined tickets with other popular attractions and discounts for children and disabled people. The tunnel has been left as original as possible. They added the lighting (very striking), the pavement and steps on the path and a concert space at the end. There are some low passages where you have to bend down a lot, but not crawl. And they’re very short, most of the times you’ll be in ample spaces. So unless you are very very claustrophobic, or have mobility issues, you should be good to go. Bear in mind that in crowded season you might come across a long queue to enter, all with no shade. Probably the less crowded time of the day is after 15:00 until closure (17:00 in the summer). But check on Google maps how busy the place is when you want to go.
