I was happy to find a natural thing to visit without 100 tourists queing up like at the cactus garden and so. I was pretty much alone. Only at the top there were 3 other people. At the start of the walk i was in doubt whether i would reach the volcano top, but it appeared to be quite an easy walk of like 30 minutes. I was a bit flabbergasted when i saw people having decended right in the volcano, thinking i would never do that. Later i went anyway to be able to say “i have been in a volcano!” 😀. But climbing back up was quite an effort. That’s like 45 degrees steep with loose gravel all the way. I wouldn’t do that a second time (decending into it). I had to supress a bit panicy feeling when going back up, thinking what kind of stupid thing i have done now lol....

It was cool to see the planes flying over and causing shadows in the crater. If you want to climb a volcano without too much effort this is a...

But other paths marked on map are there and easily passable, if you 'ignore' the occasional none official sign or flimsy wire gate across a clear path. Lots of wildlife and great views in all directions, including down into main crator. Well worth it if your looking for a none-torist driven...
