Celler Mar de Vins — Attraction in la Nucia

This artisanal wine cellar is tucked away in a small garage, we weren't sure we were in the right area until we opened the door and found a beautifully set out wine cellar. We arrived unannounced and thankfully the 2 owners were kind enough to give us a guided tasting without any prior booking. The story of Mar de Vins was fascinating and the husband/ wife owners are the only employees in the business and they do everything themselves - from growing and harvesting the grapes, producing the wine and bottling. All I can say is amazing! The couple who make the wine and run the vineyard were the nicest, sweetest people I have met on this trip. A hidden gem! The wine was spectacular. They put their hearts, souls, and passion into each bottle and you can tell. Not only was the wine amazing, they have an underwater wine that was the most unique experience I’ve come across. It’s is aged in the Mediterranean Sea. The ocean creates an artwork on the bottle that is impossible to imitate. Bought a few bottles for tonight and having many shipped back. We had the pleasure of attending the Cellar Mar de Vin for a wine tasting this morning and we all agreed that the hosts passion for their wine and its process really shone through. They were very warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable when sharing their wine making journey, it was the personal touches that really made the difference, they were happy to answer any questions in a way that was easy to understand which made for a lovely atmosphere.
