Restaurante La Rambla — Restaurant in la Nucia

A serendipitous discovery for us while walking along the road towards La Nucia center. I loved the marinated herring on that first visit. The second time we visited two days later was for a proper lunch. The beef burger was tender and juicy, and smoky. The chicken cutlet was perfectly seasoned and crispy. The Polish sausages were quite tasty. Excellent recommendation for our salad (for sharing) of greens, goat cheese, crispy bacon drizzled with glazed balsamic sauce and a really nice and light salad dressing. Delicious! Generous food portions. The owners/staff were really helpful and accommodating. We came 15 minutes early but they allowed us in to get settled in time for their 1 pm opening. I love the garden area surrounded by greenery and lemon trees heavy with fruits. I will definitely recommend this for visiting friends...

What a lovely place to eat. As soon as we walked towards the entrance the chef made his presence known with a big Hola!!. On entering the traditional restaurant the waitress was smiling and approached us offering table near the lovely log fire. We ate early so quieter than perhaps later but had a warm welcoming atmosphere. They had menus in many languages, and the range of fresh cooked food at such fantastic prices are mouthwatering. It was complimented with our choice of sangria, which was freshly made, and tasted wonderful. Decided to have a meal here today after stopping for a drink. The owner is lovely. The food great, very large portions. We would have liked another drink and coffee's but the service never came. We waited and waited but no one came to clear plates or ask if we wanted anything. So we paid and left. Bit disappointing really.
