Bodega Hermanos Polo - Guachinche El Pajar — Attraction in La Orotava

The food was delicious and generous. We had one portion of chickpeas, one plate of french fries with fried eggs, a huge slice of grilled pork tenderloin (solomillo). We definitely ordered too much and in the end took half the meat and some potatoes home. We also had half a litre of their red wine (liked it) and some water. We paid 28 euros for all this (for the two of us) so I think the price is also reasonable. The service was friendly and quick, nothing to complain about. We sat outside in the covered terrace, which is nothing special but I guess it's more traditional inside. All in all it was a nice experience, though not...

Fantastic experience and prices. The restaurant has a lot of tables outside and inside and as today was a wonderful sunny day we opted for the outside table. We asked for the menu, that they don't have, but they wrote on a piece of paper dishes in Spanish and English (Fantastic!!!). Few simple dishes. We (me and my wife) ordered 1 vegetable salad and 1 dish each, steak for her and sausage for me. The quantity was for 4 people, see pictures. The total bill was a surprise, as there wasn't the menu: 14.50 euro total!!! We will come back soon. PS service was fast and waiters...

Llevan poco tiempo y conviene darles ánimos en esta época tan complicada para todos. Crítica constructiva siempre! Para mejorar: si en un guachinche pones las garbanzas a 6 euros deben ser 3 cucharones, no uno; el queso asado no debería estar cubierto de miel, pues lo enfría y no a todo el mundo le gusta, y mejor la miel -busquen otra de mejor calidad-en un lado y al menos un mojo y saladito (siempre ayuda con el pan y la gente bebe más= consume más); una de huevos rotos debe ser un poco más grande; la ensaladilla muy, muy sosa, como el vino tinto...Lo mejor: las croquetas de pollo, los bistec de cerdo-aunque les faltó 2 minutos más- y los postres. Creo que es mejor tener menos platos y concentrarte en la calidad-cantidad pues no se olviden que es un guachinche. La gente quiere platos colmados, de lo contrario se van a un restaurante...Si das calidad a buen precio la gente vuelve seguro. También destacar la amabilidad de todos los empleados. Debe ser difícil servir tantas mesas, si es un finde y te vas a llenar pues igual quita una mesa y trata mejor a los que están comiendo, pues volverán.
