Our visit to Marqués de Vargas was truly special. This charming family-run estate puts great emphasis on sustainability, and you can feel that every detail is handled with purpose and passion. We were lucky to have María as our guide, her warmth and enthusiasm were contagious. She shared fascinating insights into the winemaking process and the history of the estate, and it was obvious how much she cares about what she does. A truly memorable experience! As not one of the best tours we ever had! I’m deliberately not including a photo of their main barrel room, it’s something you simply have to see for yourself. The atmosphere, the scent.. it’s unforgettable! The wines we tasted were incredibly elegant and without a doubt, the finest Rioja we've ever had.
