Balcóns de Madrid — Attraction in Parada de Sil

If you are in the area, definitely take some time to walk around and visit this viewpoint – it’s absolutely worth it! Spectacular views of the River Sil canyon and Ribeira Sacra with its mixed,ancient woodland and dotted with monasteries,churches,vineyards etc. Accessible by car but involves some pleasant walking from nearest car park. IMPRESIONANTE MIRADOR: No me canso de visitar este Mirador, que tal vez sea uno de los más impresionantes de los numerosos miradores (más de 30) que hay en los Cañones del Sil. Nos presenta el Río Sil a unos 300 metros en un tremendo acantilado, con sus aguas que parecen inmóviles, antes de finalizar su recorrido en el Río Miño. Antes de llegar al MIrador conviene no dejar de visitar la trampa de Lobos que está muy cerca del aparcamiento. Como su nombre dice, se trata de una trampa que estuvo en funcionamiento para coger lobos. Desde aquí no se ve Madrid. Dicen que tiene este nombre porque los emigrantes que se iban para todos los sitios de España y de fuera de España, tenían que cruzar el río cerca de San Estevo y eran despedidos por sus familias,cuando pasaban nuevamente por la otra orilla del río, cerca del Monasterio de Cadeiras que es el que se ve en frente.
