The worst experience I've ever had. I have traveled through out the usa, Europe, Asia, Northern Africa, and never have I encountered such disregard and disrespect from management staff. This is from a range of accommodations of five star world renowned resorts where I expect impeccable service, but I mean even in relation to hostels and budget hotels, this place was the worst.

The manager of the restaurant made the trip a nightmare and extremely uncomfortable. As there is only one restaurant, bad attitude and dirty looks were frequent. I don't recall his name, but he also made it clear to his staff not to help us.

We went to Nuria for a get away weekend, however I came down with a bit of a cold. I asked for some lemon and honey. They had a huge bowl of lemons, a lemon press on the bar, and honey for tea. It wasn't a difficult request. Yet, apparently pressing a lemon is very difficult and they weren't able to do because the press was in the bar. So when we ordered from the other bar, the problem was the lemons were in the restaurant. -the distance is the length of a hallway. Literally 30 seconds.

The food is horrible. The manager is rude. We ordered from the downstairs restaurant because the frozen pizza was a better option.

After complaining to the front desk, thankfully reception is very friendly and nice, we never received any sort of feedback. There was never an apology, there was never an acknowledgment, and we will certainly never go back.

It's a beautiful place, but because of this, the accommodation and amenities they offer suffer from lack of care, quality service, and general...

The best place to stay and visit the Vall de Nuria ski resort . We went just at the beginning of winter which is perfect , to see bit of sun and bit of cloudy weather. Hotel rooms were neat , clean and nicely maintained. We asked for the lake view and the second floor with lake view was perfect one 😊 Best in the place . Being vegetarian I am writing my thoughts for food , but it could be better for meat / non veg eaters .

For vegetarians , they have limited dine in options , they have two hotel restaurant / cafe bar option . In the hotel restaurant- dining is buffet and fixed price , so you can’t really think of customising . We took breakfast inclusive , which I must say was good . They have western breakfast options which is best . There is a huge in-house shopping options with Vall de Nuria souvenirs… I must say - a good place . They are only open until 4 . The staff of hotel were very nice , they were welcoming . They did speak English 😊 we started to talk in Spanish language but eventually talked in Spanish . Don’t forget to hike up the place to enjoy the sunset between mountains . Don’t forget to take the cable car up to the other side of mountain and enjoy the beauty of a place in spain :) Kudos to keep it so clean and best in the location they are :) Don’t forget to visit the church if you want some positive & good vibes 😎

Small ski station that can only be reached via hiking or the cremallera (rack railway). You can buy tickets online in advance or buy them at the station (no difference in pricing). It’s a hidden gem and by going on a weekday, we did encounter various groups of school children, but we were able to separate from them for the most part. There is a cafe on site with indoor and outdoor dining as well as a hotel. We had a pizza and coco-lat in the middle of our day. Bathrooms are easily accessible by the lockers (must pay to open it each time) and you can rent equipment there for a reasonable cost.

The one glaring improvement is the customer service. I went to one of the green runs and received not only no assistance, but a terrible attitude from the attendant. He only spoke Spanish and didn’t attempt to help in Catalan or English or even by guiding me non-verbally when it was my turn to grab onto a pole. The lack of instruction compounded by his yelling caused me to be It was clear that he was unhappy to be there and caused day at the ski station to start negatively.

Other than that incident, I think you can easily spend a day or two here. There is a church with a famous Virgin Mary as well as a historic site. It is dog-friendly and kid-friendly. Credit cards are...

Last year, I was on vacation in Barcelona and took a day Trip to Vall de Nuria, a Ski Resort, close to the French border. This is one great option for a day trip from Barcelona. If you have multiple entry Schengen Visa you can visit a tiny country Andorra, which is around 100 Kms from Nuria. The easiest access to Nuria is by the Rack Railway, which leaves from Ribes de Freser and takes about 40 minutes to climb the 12 km route. The train passes through some spectacular countryside, at a very slow pace. The train station has a museum of old trains too. Nuria houses a large hotel as well as historical buildings, and is situated in a valley surrounded by the high Pyrenean peaks. It is probably more popular in the winter ski season, but escaping the scorching heat of Barcelona in August wasn't ’t bad either. There is a manmade lake, overlooked by the hotel complex. Boating is a great way to explore the valley all around. We reached Ribes on car, it has a free parking so you can park your vehicle and proceed to Nuria. In all it was a great day, the valley is beautiful, and different from most of the other attractions in the region, and for us it was well worth the effort.
