Añoreta Resort — Attraction in Rincón de la Victoria

Review from a mid-handicapper:

We played this course 12 times over the span of a week in January 2025. Our group of 8 were low to mid handicapped players coming from Denmark.

The course was narrow on all holes, with little to no room for errors using anything but irons off the tees. We left quite a few balls in gardens of houses, with a single episode of a homeowner coming to our group demanding us to show identification, as if we intentionally were aiming at anything but grass. Safety nets are installed, but not to help shots further than 175 meters from the tees. Greens were very fast and very true. Some pin placements was a bit on the edge of being USGA legal, since rolling a putt 10 cm past the pin, could result in rolling off the green and 30 meters back down the fairway. Coming to play here, we had the feeling that the locals had zero interest of following etiquette of golf. Talking loudly while people are about to hit their tee shot, and not repairing their pitch marks ect.

We did not use the range, since it is very short and far from the club house. The practice putting green is useless.

The people at the reception and general staff were very accommodating throughout the week.

The staff at the restaurant seemed nice the first day, but from day 2 onwards, they became rude and obnoxious towards our group. They suddenly did not want to serve us food on the terrace, and did not tell us why they changed attitude towards our group. The sandwiches they served us started out being served pretty and neatly cut out, to bring a slab of ham, cheese, 2 pieces of bread, slapped in tin foil.

TLDR; Course: 8/10 Practice facilities: 2/10 Staff: 8/10 Restaurant: 1/10 Total...

Good fun today, course was playing nicely and looking in reasonable condition (fairway grass, ponds, work on thinning out trees), till we got to the greens.

They look like they've been transplanted with strange grass and are a funny brown colour. They are also running at something crazy like 14 on the stimp meter. I've played this golf course hundreds of times, and today is the 1st time I've ever putted off a green. 3 greens were normal speed (9, 10 and 18). It also made for a very slow round as the 4 ball in front of us struggled to sink their putts.

The toilets at 8th tee box are a disgrace, there was no water to wash your hands.

The tee boxes in general are needing a little bit of a cut, plus some are needing relaid, they are not flat.

Twilight price is OK, service is good, staff...

El sitio bonito, tranquilo, buena comida y a buen precio, TODO GENIAL EXCEPTO POR EL TRATO DE UNO DE LOS RESPONSABLES. Fuimos a comer por el cumpleaños de mi mujer, como digo todo riquísimo y a buen precio, pero tuvimos un percance con las letras de la foto, uno de nuestros niños parece que rompió una de las letras pequeñas, esa tarde se fotografiaron en esas letras varias mesas de las del restaurante, pero la letra cayó al suelo cuando uno de los peques que venían con nosotros andaba por allí cerca. No tardó ni 2 minutos en aparecer por allí un energúmeno dando golpes en la barra con la letra rota, diciendo que el niño la había roto, que lo tenía grabado en vídeo y que teníamos muy poca vergüenza por haber roto la letra y no decir nada, todo esto a grito tendido en mitad de la terraza con más clientes en ella. Este personaje, aparentemente responsable del sitio, montó un cirio totalmente fuera de lugar, intentando dar ejemplo de educación y civismo nos faltó el respeto a tres adultos padres de hijos presentes, hijos nerviosos por ver a sus padres discutir y parejas abochornadas por el espectáculo. Nos dice que la letra cuesta 50€, una letra de porexpan de unos 20 cm, que seguramente cubrirá su seguro, y que es, me repito, de porexpan, le decimos en todo momento que se la vamos a pagar, o mejor, que le llevamos una y nos dice que no, que le demos el dinero, como no estamos conformes, ni tenemos claro que la haya roto el niño le pedimos el video que ha clamado a los 4 vientos que tiene grabado. Cuando nos enseña el video (que no sé hasta que punto es legal que este

personaje´´ tenga un video con nuestros hijos menores), no se ve absolutamente nada y cuando digo nada es nada le pedimos entonces una hoja de reclamaciones y coge el nota y se pierde, no volvemos a verle el pelo. Muy vergonzoso todo, estaba siendo un cumpleaños genial hasta que apareció este hombre, no debe gozar de muy buena salud mental o debe haberse olvidado la medicación, si alguno de tus clientes te rompe algo de decoración por accidente, no creo que debas montar el circo que has montado y sobre todo sin ser cierto como demostró el video. Pongo la foto de los niños en el dichoso cartel y señalo la letra que se rompió, en el aumento no se ve muy bien pero se vislumbra como la letra
