Visiting Rupit was like taking a step back in time and immersing myself in the history of this charming colonial village. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by incredibly courteous and friendly people, making my stay even more special.

The narrow cobblestone streets and stone houses with slate roofs give Rupit a unique and authentic atmosphere. Strolling through its streets felt like walking through a picturesque postcard, with each corner revealing its own charm and magic.

I can't help but mention the delicious croissants and immense xoxo they serve here. They are simply mouthwatering! Every bite is a delight to the senses and undoubtedly a culinary experience I will remember for a long time.

In addition to the architectural beauty and delightful food, the surrounding nature of Rupit is breathtaking. With stunning mountain landscapes and natural trails, it's a paradise for nature lovers and hiking enthusiasts.

Rupit Village – A Hidden Gem in Catalonia! 🌟

If you love charming villages with stunning views, Rupit is a must-visit! This little town feels like stepping back in time – cobblestone streets, stone houses, and breathtaking nature all around. Here’s what you need to know:

Atmosphere: Cozy and magical! ✨ The village is small but packed with character. It’s super peaceful, so perfect for a relaxing day trip. Scenic Views: 🏞️ Don’t miss the hanging bridge – it's a fun and iconic spot to cross! Plus, the surrounding cliffs and forests make for incredible photo ops. Hiking Trails: 🥾 Love nature? There are great walks nearby, like the trail to Salt de Sallent, a gorgeous 100m waterfall! Food: 🍽️ Treat yourself to some traditional Catalan dishes – try the local stews and homemade desserts in one of the cozy restaurants. Shops: 🛍️ Lots of cute spots selling artisan cheeses, honey, and souvenirs – perfect gifts! Getting Around: 🚶‍♂️ It’s a walking-only village, so wear comfy shoes.

Primero he de decir que es un pueblito con muchísimo encanto, muy peculiar y muy bonito, por eso ya he ido junto a mi familia dos veces, siendo la última hace un par de semanas. Dentro de las cosas similares o iguales en la primera y última vez, puedo decir que si vas un fin de semana (tal y como lo hice yo) es aconsejable IR PRONTO y no esperar a última hora, y más si tu plan incluye comer, pues de lo contrario tendrás que hacer bastante cola y esperar para entrar a cualquiera de los restaurantes; también se hace bastante cola para entrar al pueblo, pues es una entrada muy estrecha, el parking se llena fácilmente, y hay coches que se aparcan a lo largo de la carretera que lleva a la entrada del pueblo, con lo cual dificulta un poco su acceso, pero lo podrás evitar llegando pronto, además si quieres quedarte todo el día o gran parte de él, la mejor opción y las más cómoda para mi, es estacionar el coche en el aparcamiento, pues estás dentro del pueblo, y tienes los servicios ahí mismo, aparte es económico. Aconsejable llevar ropa y calzado cómodo, y si vas en otoño o invierno ropa de abrigo pues corre bastante viento y hace frío. Para empezar el recorrido, puedes hacerlo por dos sitios, el primero atravesando el puente colgante, que es una de las atracciones mas divertidas y bonitas del pueblo, o también, por la calle de salida del pueblo, que es la vía más cómoda si tienes que llevar cochecito. Luego de que has entrado, te va a provocar pararte en cada local a ver lo que venden, a hacer fotos, a tomarte o comerte algo, y por supuesto a comprar recuerdos, artesanías, bollería, o cualquier cosa que te apetezca o te guste (que será casi todo, ya verás). Tienes muchas opciones para comer, o tomarte algo; Igualmente si eres más de senderismo, puedes visitar el Salt del Sallent, la Ermita de Santa Magadalena y su mirador, entre otras muchas opciones. Y si te gusta sólo andar, pues te encantará recorrer sus maravillodas calles de piedra, ver el asco antiguo, visitar su bella Iglesia,caminar por la calle más empinada del pueblo, y todos los lugares hermosos que te ofrece Rupit.
