We were intending to visit a few Bodegas in the area, but instead found all we wanted right here. We arrived in between guided tours, so rather than hang around we took the self guided tour at €5 including one wine tasting of our choice. Initially we couldn't understand how the first exhibit (the screw driven grape press) worked. Then we saw the models at the side of the room, and all became clear. From then on with the help of the printed guide, information boards and well displayed artefacts and photos, it was a thoroughly enjoyable way to learn how the winery had begun, and developed over the centuries. Because we had to work it out for ourselves it was a much more involving experience than simply following someone around and being told everything. The visit to the vineyard itself, to see the vines was an eye opener too. The depth that some pits have had to be dug out, to reach the soil under the lava is quite amazing. The only slight difficulty we (and a few other visitors) had was finding our way back into the reception area afterwards to collect our wine. One or two signs would be helpful. The wines we chose (one sparkling white and a medium red) were very good. Not enough to tempt us to part with money though. The staff were very helpful and friendly. They seemed to speak a few other languages between them too. There is a café/restaurant on site and the seating was lovely, sheltered from the wind, but sunny. The toilet facilities were clean and modern. Car parking is free. Accessibility is a bit hit and miss. Obviously the older buildings which make up the majority of the tour, contain steps, stairs and changes of level. The car park, reception, cafe/restaurant and toilets all looked accessible. We're glad we chose to go here. We had a great time, learned lots and for a reasonable cost.

Brilliant experience. I would recommend to anyone who loves, or even likes wine. My dad who is not a huge wine lover thoroughly enjoyed himself. Our guide, Elena, was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and totally committed. She explained things very well, it was clear and easy to understand her, and she'd graciously answer any questions asked. Her knowledge on the wine was brilliant as well; down to all of the nuances of flavour, ingredients, and techniques of manufacture. Now, the place itself. The buildings, history, vineyards, everything. It is truly interesting and enjoyable to go through. So many interesting facts, equipment, and of course, delicious wine! It is a beautiful place with a lot of intrigue, so I will not spoil all of it, go find out for yourself! Overall, it was a wonderful experience with friendly people, tasty wine, and well worth the price for the "Wine Lovers" tier. I recommend it 100%.

We took a self tour and participated in wine tasting. The place itself is neat and well kept. It is also well organized - you go through the history and the wine production steps. I’m amazed how the people in those brutal weather conditions could produce the wine. I was also surprised with wine tasting - we had 2 vines: orange (white) and red and both were rich in smell and tasty! The hostess was very kind and informative - I’m not a wine person myself but I knew a lot about those two from her. We ended up our trip with a walk through the vineyard. Again, I left the place with huge respect to the people who do agriculture in those harsh conditions.
