Escape Barcelona | Escape Room Cybercity 2049 — Attraction in Santa Coloma de Gramenet

I was very excited for this game but ended up being quite disappointed. First off, it isn't really an escape room at all, more an immersive experience. I think there were maybe 5 puzzles in there. The idea is more akin to an RPG game, where you interact with NPCs and explore the world. Had I realised this, I probably would have approached it differently and perhaps enjoyed it a bit more. But I still didn't really rate this aspect of it.

The set is fantastic. It genuienly felt like a dingy blade-runner-esce city and I enjoyed the interactions with characters within it, the host did a great job here. There was an element of tension that was fairly well done and gave the game a suitably creepy vibe.

However, the lack of puzzles and terrible signposting left us frustrated and we began noticing things wrong with the set instead of being immersed. We asked the host for help at many points, only to be left to struggle. A lot of the tech was poor and didn't work well. The finale sequence we played (this differs depending on choices made throughout the game) used some really bad props and felt pretty naff.

It felt like they took an amazing set and devised an interractive element that they hoped players would be engaged enough to spend lots of time with. Frankly, we didn't care for this and found this aspect a bit poor. They've popped a handful of average puzzles in there too but not enough to sink our teeth into. Was alright and enjoyable but there are better escape rooms...

We did the cybercity 2049 on our trip to Barcelona with 4 teenagers and they absolutely loved it. There were so many rooms and you had to reach them by climbing through holes, ladders, and jumping over things. This is a very physical room so I would not recommend if you have any condition that would prevent you from doing the above activities. The room had a lot games and challenges, then throw in the actors on top of it to make it an unforgettable immersive experience. My kids all said this was most fun room they have ever done. I would highly recommend to anyone visiting Barcelona looking for a unique escape room experience. One other note you are in a basement and your shoes and clothes will get dusty so dress...

Hoy he llevado a mi hijo y sus amigos a la sala de jurassic land para celebrar su cumpleaños, niños que rondan los 9 años. Ya hemos hecho algún que otro escape room juntos (en familia) y cuando me informaron que tenían una sesión Kids dónde pueden ir ellos "solos" (con ayuda de un game master pero sin necesidad de que otro adulto participe con ellos) pensé que sería una buena opción para que pudieran hacerlo por su cuenta. He de decir que del local, la sala o la ambientación no puedo opinar porque básicamente no he llegado a cruzar la puerta. Éramos 3 adultos que nos ha tocado esperar en la calle 1 hora hasta que los niños acabaran la sesión (un 20 de febrero a las 19h). El chico ha salido para recoger al grupo y decirnos que volviéramos una hora más tarde. Al acabar ha salido con la tablet para que pudiéramos valorar en ese mismo momento, según la opinión de los niños, qué les había parecido y poner un correo para recibir la foto final. Foto que ha dejado mucho que desear, calidad bastante mala, uno de los niños medio cortado en uno de los lados y otro con una especie de red por la cabeza que no se le aprecia ni la cara (podría haberle recomendado que cogiera otra cosa de atrezo, que se la pusiera en otro sitio, hacer al menos dos fotos.. no sé, encuentro varias opciones). Realmente no tengo gran idea de lo que han hecho dentro, únicamente algunas pruebas que han comentado a la salida los niños y de la temática por la pequeña introducción que ponen en la página web. Teniendo en cuenta que de esta experiencia lo único que he podido ver ha sido la foto pues realmente uno se queda bastante decepcionado. Además al hacer la reserva únicamente aboné la mitad del precio, por lo que al terminar debía pagar el resto. Pago que he hecho mediante tarjeta esperando a que el chico volviera de buscar el datáfono porque sí, también me ha cobrado en la calle. Así que la valoración va en función a lo que yo he vivido, solo espero que los niños al menos se hayan ido con buen sabor de boca.
