I was lucky enough to visit Bodega Erupción just last week, and I can't say enough good things about the experience—and about Amor, the co-owner. She runs this remarkable project with her father, and together they are doing incredible things!

The visit takes place in the small pueblo of Tao, right in the heart of Lanzarote. We explored one of the nearby vineyards, toured the cellar, and enjoyed a tasting of seven wines in the cozy upper floor of the winery. We also sampled some delicious local goat cheese.

What struck me most—beyond the unique methods of agriculture and winemaking that Lanzarote is known for—was meeting Amor. She is absolutely lovely, full of passion and knowledge. She shared fascinating insights and gave us wonderful gastronomic tips for the island. Her dedication and energy are truly inspiring.

Thank you, Amor! I hope to...

Bodega Erupción is a family business, officially founded in 2021, dedicated to the production of “signature wines” from their own vineyards under the Lanzarote Denomination of Origin. They aim at positioning themselves within the gourmet market as their production is limited but of high quality.(...) This winery actually owns its name to the last volcanic eruption in Lanzarote in 1824 which had several focal points, one of them in Tao, where the actual winery is. The wines names also take as reference various elements or materials from the world of volcanology.(...) Everything is done manually, the harvesting, the bottling, the labelling, etc. All in all, you can tell quite that this is a labour of love,...

Magical... An amazing experience, I couldn't recommend it more. We were greeted like old friends and shown around this beautiful bodega by the owner, Amor, who is, as her name suggest, lovely, and very passionate about the vines and the environment in general. She told us the amazing story behind this bodega and explained how it all works. We learnt about the family history and how her father works the fields (well, rocks, to be precise), the various techniques that are unique to Lanzarote and date back generations, how to distinguish the flavours of the wine... which we duly did, with great enjoyment! I hesitate to leave this review because I'd much rather keep it a secret....
