One of the loveliest hikes I have ever done. Amazing landscapes. Green, varied, dramatic, romantic. And you always hear the river, which is relaxing. At the end is a lovely pool and waterfall. The trail is well maintained but not easy. You need profiled shoes and an average physical condition at least. You leave beside the former thermal baths, the Balneario. The other main trail here, the Cascata, leaves about 100m up on the main road. It's not signposted that well. There is also a version of this walk were you start along the normal Virgen Path and then you switch back after 15 minutes and walk back along a path that joins the Cascata path. Read moreThis trail is great and it is just like other people have described. However, I wanted to clarify the start of this hike is NOT where Google Maps has it located. Once you cross the river on A-7250, KEEP GOING. The trail head is NOT at the river like Google Maps says. Instead, continue driving up the hill to the 2 story yellow building, a spa like another reviewer mentioned. There are about 4 parking spaces in front of plaques describing the trail.
