Update. Greens have been double seeded so starting to look nice, but slow and inconsistent. Bare patches have been filled with sods of poa annua from contaminated parts of the green, so there are now more and more areas of course grass, which is a joke to putt through. Fringes are quite good, where they cut them, but there are some areas, like on 15, where it hasn't been cut for over a month and it is thick!. Need more people with strimmers to do the fringes and around so many of the bunkers. Unfortunately raking of the bunkers just takes up too many man hours. Fairways are nice, having been seeded and watered. Red stakes around penalty areas (lakes) are far too far away from the edges. If you want to speed up play, then move them so when a ball clears the water then spins back in, it can be dropped up by the green. Quicker and less annoying! The driving range is now mats which are uneven and don't have the rubber inserts to tee up your ball. My 7 iron head broke off on the range the other day... coincidence? More staff, more strimming, course inspections, and less poa annua please. Got so...
Read moreThe owner responds to all reviews " the course is in excellent condition now", this is false. The greens are covered with an invasive grass, bare areas in the fairways, dead parts of palm trees that haven't been trimmed in years. Far from excellent. The pandemic is past so when are you reopening the proshop and moving out of the ridiculous, embarrassing shack? The collars around the greens are the worst I have ever seen. I received an email from the head pro before Christmas stating all the work that was to be done this winter. It was a hoax, a smoke screen, so that GNK could make a significant price increase for 2025 membership. None of the work has been done except edging the cart paths. Course has become a goat ranch. Meanwhile, El Valle is pristine. I have been a yearly member here for 3 years and have seen the greenkeeper on site here twice. Hire a real...
Read moreSome of the reviews are dated as improvements are constantly being made. The lake by the town centre has been cleaned and refilled. It is looking much better. The overall presentation of the site is immaculate. There are approximately 20 lovely swimming pools, tennis courts and lots of green space which includes the golf course. There has been investment in new restaurants and bars so clearly businesses have confidence in the site. For property owners it’s a well maintained and managed site. It’s about 20 minutes from the airport so literally on your doorstep. More and more flights going in and out of Murcia RMU plus it’s a modern quiet airport so quick to get in and out of. Also about 20 minutes from the Mar Menor. If you prefer more waves go the Mil Palmeres. You will probably need a car to see the best...
