Bodega Palacio de Lerma — Attraction in Villalmanzo

What a great experience! We have been to many Bodegas in Spain, but Palacio de Lerma provided an outstanding day! Ramiro was our guide through the facilities, and you can immediately see and feel, that wine is his passion. We learned so much about the different wine regions, history of wine in Spain and what makes a difference in their products. The blindfolded wine tasting experience was a fun event and is highly recommended if you are into wines. If you're planning on staying in Lerma, pay Palacio a visit. We had an amazing tour with Ramiro. Learnt so much about the wine making process. The best part though was the wine tasting. The bodega is in Lerma which is an easy 45 minute bus trip from Burgos. Estuvimos de visita a las bodegas una mañana a mediados de mes, solos mi marido y yo con el propietario. Ramiro nos atendió de maravilla, sus explicaciones estaban muy bien fundamentadas, se percibía su pasión por su trabajo y supo responder a todas nuestras preguntas. Fue una experiencia muy agradable. Me parece estar aún en la puerta d la bodega, mirando a los cerros del horizonte escuchando la historia de la bodega. O degustando los vinos buscando en silencio los aromas en las copas. Buscábamos un vino diferente y todos los q probamos lo son, nos llevamos 3 cajas de los 3 vinos que probamos y los estamos compartiendo con amigos y familiares y es siempre una gozada.
