Bodegas Larre — Attraction in Villanueva de Gállego

I love Muscat wine, so when I saw some in the reviews, I knew I needed to stop here. I couldn't have anticipated how amazing these wines would taste! The white vermouth is a wonderful flavor I haven't experienced before in wine. Incredibly complex and smooth. The red vermouth as well, but as I was only in Spain another 3 days, I couldn't buy them both. I'll admit, when she lined up the bottles for the order of my tasting, I was surprised to see the muscat come first, but wow. the flavor was wonderful, and for a non-altered presentation of the muscat grape, this is one that is still semi-sweet, while highlighting the flavors of the grape. We randomly decided to stop here along the way on our road trip through Northern Spain and it ended up being one of the best and most special days of the entire two week trip! Ana was so warm and welcoming from the moment we walked through the door. She gave us a tasting of her delicious wines and showed us around the entire bodega, from the beautiful wine cellar to her extensive collection of perfumes that she uses to perfect her olfactory senses. We spent the entire day and evening with her and her companion, Ana, and they truly made us feel like family. Anna and Anna were so incredible nice and showed us the most generosity I’ve ever experienced in my life. She walked us through an amazing wine tasting, then invited to go see the bull trapping competition later that evening. She made all of us sandwiches and brought us drinks for the event 😭 after the bull trapping competition they then took us to their favorite bar/restaurant and we laughed and had the best time until late in the evening.
