At low tide, the water is both clear and shallow enough to see all the way to the seabed for some distance, and the vast abundance of sea life is genuinely breath-taking. I'd highly recommend visiting at least once for anyone with an interest in snorkelling, and due to both it's shallow water and vibrant life, would be a great place to introduce someone to it too! It additionally has a cute bar with amazing views of the bay, and while the beach is pebbly, the rocks can be a little uncomfortable so shoes would always be...

Wether you like this beach depends on what you are looking for. If you are looking for a place for your first snorkeling adventure, than this is a great place. The underwater rock formations come close to shore, even when you are deeper you can stand on a rock and rest a bit (so, kind of great for kids as well). It also has a fantastic view. But if you are looking for a place that gets deep quite fast, that is great for pure swimming purposes and if you care about using an inflatable, than I would advice to...

Bautiful gravel beach, and it's great for snorkeling as the cove has a lot of ocean life.

It's smaller in size, so it could get overcrowded during the summer. It can get windy so careful with the umbrellas. There is a restaurant nearby, its very popular so requires reservation in advance, but it's possible to order takeaway at the entrance and then eat on the beach.

It had a shower but didn't work. During 2-6pm, the last kilometers of the road to the beach can get closed down, resulting in...

One of the most beautiful spots near Javea. The water is crystalline and full of species (I even found two starfish). Unfortunately, the restaurant of Cala Clemente treat it as their backyard, playing loud music to the point of spoiling the cool atmosphere. Better to come early in the morning or to stay in the souther part of the beach (i.e. turning right as you arrive).

Beautiful Cala del Portixol, amazing scenery easy to reach and there is a great restaurant there, for a day trip is definately a great option, clear waters and it look very safe for kids too, but please bring good footwear as it's a pebble beach front, other than that is a great place to visit.
