We discovered this restaurant accidentally, when visiting the nearby beach. The location is wonderful. Me and my wife were with our 3 small kids, which asked for some drinks and croissants. I went inside the restaurant and asked one waiter : “Tell me please, do you have croissants?”, “Yes, we do” he said. I went back to my kids which were playing on the beach, with the good news. Big cheers! Then all five of us went inside the restaurant and sat at one table. Soon, another waiter came, prepared to take our order and I asked again “Do you have croissants?”, “Yes, we do” he confirmed. “Good. Please bring 3 croissants for the kids and 2 margaritas for us”. He carrefully noted our order and then he looked at his watch and said, to my complete shock : “I am sorry, but we serve croissants only until 1 o’clock (pm)”. I looked at the watch and it was 1.15. Just 15 minutes after 1 o’clock !!! My small daughter (5 years old) burst into tears, hearing that she will not get her croissant. All the joy of beautiful sunny day suddenly vanished! I tried to explain to this little man that it was just a little bit after one o’clock and there is no reason to be so strict, but it was vain. He kept pushing the menu in my eyes, showing me the small letters, impossible-to-read disclaimer on the bottom of the menu, saying that they dont serve croissants after one o’clock. He looked acctually quite contend that he had this irefutable proof, that he can not do anything for us, like: “Look, it’s the law, sorry!” As my daugther was still crying, we had to get out from the restaurant as fast as possible in order to calm her down. Needless to say, we left completely dissapointed. So, here it is, my friends, how a beautiful day can be ruined by a jerk and a stupid rule of a otherwise...

The most dissapointing experience I have ever experienced from a restaurant. We had booked and paid a deposit 3 months ago for my 40th birthday celebration. We had friends coming from outside of Spain to attend the birthday. Indeed, it says on the website that the restaurant closes if there is rain, although that day, as they also said, there wasn’t any rain forecasted. The same day at 11:45am I received an email from them to reconfirm the reservation. At 3:22 p.m. (our reservation was at 3:30 p.m.) when we were 5 minutes away from the restaurant, they called us to tell us that it wouldn't stop raining (it had already stopped raining) and that they had to cancel our reservation. We arrived at the restaurant and they told us that they were very sorry but that they had closed the kitchen. We explained the situation to them, that it had already stopped raining and it was clear that the sun was about to come out (in fact an hour later there was a clear sky and sunshine) that it was a birthday and that where could a group of 14 people go at 3:30 p.m when this was planned 3 months ago. Zero empathy from their side. The next day I receive a WhatsApp from the restaurant manager with a copy of the refund from my deposit, and it says “return of your deposit”. Not even a message saying that they were sorry they had cancelled my 40th birthday, or that they hoped we found another place, nothing, very unprofessional. We had chosen the restaurant because it is in a spectacular location, but the treatment and lack of empathy when it came to canceling our 40th birthday left us all with little...

We where there with 6 spend over €400,- first we sat down and than a female manager came to table and said you can not sit here with 6 while there where 5 chairs and the sixt one went in between 2 persons so not in the way. But ok the Octopus legs where cold en very chewy we also had 2 kinds of mejillón after we finished them the one with the clear had tge best taste so we asked the waiter what it was he said that is the classic mejillones so we ordered a other portion but when it came it was with the red sauce we called a waiter and that female manager came again and said but that is what you ordered how stupid can you be we where so disapointed in her behavior we own our self fifferent restaurants in calpe (Grizzly's, El Toro)and going to open a new 750 seats restaurant in benitachel but the way she has been to us decide us never to come back again and to tell everybody the whole Dutch scene and all our clients nog to go there . Her job would had been .to say Oh I am sorry the waiter made a mistake we will change that straight away we had to ask a few times for our drinks and also for food that was ordered but did not came because there was some mis communication between the waiters we understand that as restaurant owners but such a attitude from her to us is incomprehensible and unacceptable. We hope that the owners of the restaurant will do something about this .because the place is lovely and most of the staff very friendly...

Beautiful location with a really lovely terrace overlooking the pebble beach. The owner was very pleasant; he welcomed us in for coffee & breakfast at 9.00 when they opened. Sadly, most of the rest of the staff seem to have been afflicted with the same “too cool for school” hacked off, grumpy attitude we also saw in a few other eateries around Javea; with a distinct lack of interest in their customers (we’re the ones who visit your workplace to spend our cash, so your jobs remain secure). The coffees were great; the food was ok….delicious fried eggs & decent (mostly) fresh ingredients. But a few smiles wouldn’t have gone amiss. If the waiters are this un-enamoured of their clientele at opening, I can only imagine how they deal with tourists by later in the day…..😱 The exception was Nestor, one of the bus boys who was smiley, friendly and charming. He should be moved to front of house; he had exactly the right kind of personality for the job. Dog friendly! Addendum: The owner replied...he obviously doesn't know what a 'bus-boy' is 😱 He was the guys who cleared our plates. Perhaps check the names of your staff? I asked him his name & he told me it was Nestor. I was definitely reviewing the correct place. And my comment about the luke-warm welcome from your staff does still stand.

Not worth the hype I honestly don’t understand the hype. Everyone says you must book in advance, so I made a reservation one month ahead. Still, we were seated far from the sea, while walk-in guests were placed at the front tables by the water. It made no sense and felt unfair. Another issue: no one warns you in advance (not on the website, not in the booking confirmation ) that access to the beach is restricted. About 2km before the restaurant, a person stops your car and tells you that you’ll need to walk the rest of the way. The path is steep, winding, and not exactly easy. Definitely not ideal for everyone. This SHOULD BE clearly communicated beforehand. To be fair, the woman who served us was lovely — kind and attentive. The food was okay, nothing exceptional. Prices were comparable to a good restaurant in West London, which means quite expensive for Spain. Overall, not worth the effort or the price. Wouldn’t go back.
