We had a wonderful wine tour, guided by the beautiful Yurena, who was warm, welcoming and very friendly. Her passion for the location, the vines and the company was obvious and the explanation of the different vines, the growing process specific to this island region was fascinating. We were lucky to see the wine making process in action, as they had just harvested one of the white wine varieties. The barrels are stored in a beautifully laid out building and there is a stunning terrace where you can order food and wine. At the end of the tour, we were given three different wines to try (white, red & aperitif) which were all lovely and accompanied by two local cheeses. There is a gift shop, which naturally has all the wines produced by the location but also oils, olives, soaps, jewellery, clothes, ceramics and numerous other things to choose from. We bought 4 bottles of wine from the tasting session. We were here from 11.15 until 13.00, so it was only a short stop but there are events taking place during the week, which can be found on the website. If only we had the visit earlier in our holiday, we would most likely have returned for a meal. If you like your wine, we would recommend this visit while on your stay...
Read moreWhat a shame. Beautiful place and researched a lot to find the perfect wine tour for my partners birthday while out here. We arrived for the booking but the lady at the desk quickly told me that today was only in Spanish. It hadn’t told me that at any point or even on the ticket I received so worth double checking. She told us to come back on Monday at 4pm for the English tour and told us repeatedly “do not forget, do not forget ok”. I put it in my diary and we reorganised our day. Monday comes around. I have reorganised our other plans to fit this in. We arrive and a different lady has no idea why we are there and proceeds to tell me that there are no tours on Mondays so she doesn’t know why I’ve been told this. So after two hour round trips on two separate days, for absolutely nothing, it’s safe to say, a pretty diabolical experience. Yet to see my refund for the tickets and wasted a day of our...
Read moreWe did the guided tour with tasting. They were very flexible with us wanting to change our tour day. The group size was good, around 10 people, which was ideal. The vineyard is very big and nice and the guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. She showed us the wines and talked a lot about their history and the wine culture in Lanzarote in general. We also saw the beautiful cellar and how the wines are produced. After ~40min we got to the wine tasting part, including a selection of cheese, nuts and grapes. The wines were diverse (red, white, liquor/sweet) and the amount to taste was very generous. There is also a nice shop and a big fancy restaurant which we didn’t try but looked good....
