Devon Falls is yet another gem in the stunning landscape of Nuwara Eliya, and it left me in awe of Mother Nature's beauty. This waterfall has several viewpoints to admire its splendor, and my favorite is undoubtedly viewpoint 2, which is easily accessible and offers a mesmerizing perspective. Early Morning Tranquility: I recommend visiting Devon Falls early in the morning to fully appreciate its beauty and avoid the crowds. The serene atmosphere as the sun rises is simply magical, making it the perfect time for photos and quiet contemplation. Popular Tourist Destination: As a popular tourist destination, it's crucial to visit during the season to ensure you witness the waterfall at its most majestic. During my visit, the cascading water was a sight to behold, and the lush green surroundings added to the enchantment. Nature's Grandeur: Devon Falls is a testament to the grandeur of nature. The sheer height and power of the waterfall are awe-inspiring. Be prepared to be mesmerized by the thundering sound of water crashing into the pool below. Easy Access: Viewpoint 2 on the map is conveniently located, and the short walk from the parking area is well worth it. It's a place where you can reconnect with nature and enjoy a moment of tranquility. Devon Falls is a must-visit destination for anyone exploring Nuwara Eliya. It's a reminder of the breathtaking beauty that Sri Lanka has to offer, and it's a place that allows you to escape the hustle and bustle of daily life. Make sure to time your visit right to witness this natural wonder at its best.

Devon waterfall lies about 6Km West of Thalawakele in Nuwara Eliya district in Sri Lanka. This water fall which is formed by Kothmale Oya that is a tributary of Mahaweli River is 97 meters high. This is one of the popular waterfall in Sri Lanka because of its clear view from Haton-Nuwara Eliya road (A7). A clear view-point is available on one side of the road with the parking facilities, so almost all the travellers do not hesitate to take a break and enjoy the beauty of this magnificent waterfall. This view-point is an ideal place to break the monotony of our life and have a mental relaxation by enjoying the slpendour of the fall. The tavellers can have a hot tea in the tea-center just opposite of the view-point as well.

This is the most beautiful water fall on the way to Nuwara Eliya. Situated near Thalawakale, this waterfall is very easily accessible and there is a great viewpoint on the side of the Hatton - Nuwara eliya road. Don't forget to see the painter's work while you're in the viewpoint! There is a road to access to the top of the waterfall. But be careful if you're going to the top in the rainy season. The rocks are extremely slippery and fast flowing water is dangerous. Always accompany a local guide if you're going closer to the waterfall.

You'll be able to see this beautiful waterfall on your way to NuwaraEliya via Kotagala road. It can be seen in distant when you reach to the viewpoints. There are two view points, one is near to the Mlesna tea castle and the other is located when you move pass the Mlesna tea castle. The view point which is near Mlesna tea castle is full of bothersome monkeys. They have been trained by irresponsible people by giving them food when they stop there. Now those monkeys are used to grab food from anybody who stops there.
