My recent visit to Tea Castle left me thoroughly impressed and eager to share my experience with others. This charming establishment ticks all the right boxes, making it an ideal destination for tea lovers and nature enthusiasts alike. One of the standout features of Tea Castle is its fair prices. Considering the exquisite quality of teas and snacks they offer, the affordability of their menu was a pleasant surprise. The serene and tranquil environment provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying a cup of tea with friends or simply basking in the beauty of the surroundings. Whether you prefer indoor seating with large windows to admire the scenery or outdoor seating to feel closer to nature, Tea Castle caters to all preferences. Another advantage of this establishment is the ample parking space available. It's always a relief to find sufficient parking slots, especially in popular tourist spots where parking can often be a hassle. Tea Castle's ample parking ensures that guests can arrive stress-free and begin their tea experience without any inconvenience. The attractive nature environment surrounding the Tea Castle is a real treat for nature enthusiasts. The establishment has taken full advantage of its location and has seamlessly integrated the beauty of the surroundings into its design. With well-maintained gardens, walking paths, and even seating areas to enjoy the views, Tea Castle provides a complete package for those seeking a nature-infused experience. The final icing on the cake was the friendly and attentive staff. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to assist. The staff members were well-informed about the various tea options available and were more than happy to make recommendations based on individual preferences. Their hospitality added to the overall charm of Tea Castle and made my visit even more memorable. Really good place to stop by when going from Colombo to Nuwara Eliya. This place is about 1hr drive from Nuwara Eliya. They have some tasty butter cakes and good Ceylon Tea. You can try tea with jaggery as well, quite nice. Maybe after having your tea, you can climb to the top of the castle, where you can see a 360 view of the area. There are beautiful waterfalls and tea estates around the castle. Even thought this is a newly build castle, they are maintaining the place really well. Wash rooms are clean and odorless. Service is pretty good and waiters speak English as well. There is a huge statue of James Taylor, who marked the birth of the tea industry in Ceylon by starting a tea plantation in the Loolecondera. During the Christmas time they do place a big Christmas tree by the entrance, with beautiful decorations. Quite nice to take family photos around this area There is a gift shop where they have tea gift boxes which most of the foreigners tend to purchase. It’s a good souvenir for someone to take back home or to gift to someone special. Most of all just love the view from the top.

If nothing else, a good stop to buy some good quality tea that can be used as a gift or souvenir from Sri Lanka or you or someone else. The place has a small museum where is the process of making black tea explained. For my surprise, there was not such interest int that for the place's visitors than going for a restaurant or the shop. The restaurant offers some meals, a lot of teas, and it also has some cakes. For some reason, curry meals were not available on the day when I visited the place, which is shame, but manageable. As a desert, I went for a piece of chocolate cake, which was supposed to be the least sweet cake from the offer. Even that one was sweet more than enough for me and I split it with my boyfriend, cause I was not managing it whole. The shop has touristic prices, but for tourists it's not that bad and you can always ask a shopping assistant for a recommendation for the tea of your liking, exactly as I did.

Awesome place for a superb cup of Ceylon tea! Be sure to try it with one of their cakes or sweet goodies. This time popped in for lunch, and it did not disappoint. Lunch options aren't too varied. The food however was flavorsome and fresh, with decent quantities. Friendly service as well. Their tea shop also has a huge selection of all varieties of their tea, plus a good selection of tea equipment such as strainers, tea timers etc. For the kids (or any tea enthusiasts) they've got a few museum pieces offering a glimpse of the history of tea production. Popping up to the rooftop to get some awesome views of the surrounding mountainsides is pretty cool too.
