If you're looking for a safe place to entertain the kids for a couple of hours, this is the perfect place! Over 18's pay a 20 LKR entry fee (which is hardly anything) and the kids go in for free. We really liked the way that the park was set out. It's been really well thought about. There is a lot of space here and different areas for different age ranges. So this means that young children won't get pushed around by older, faster, more able kids. Instead they will be playing over at the larger play area that is more intetesting and suitable for them. It works really well. There are so many slides, swings and climbing structures that there is room for everyone to play, even on really busy days. Our 2 year old son had a great time interacting with the local Sri Lankan children and a handful of other Western kids that were there too. The parents were all really friendly and we had quite a few really nice conversations. It was a really nice atmosphere. There is even a huge bouncy castle with slides etc. Although we felt that our son Leo was still a bit too young to use it on this visit. But for slightly older kids it looked like great fun! The park is completely enclosed by a large metal fence, so you can be safe in the knowledge that your kids can't disappear suddenly. There's only one way in or out.... We stayed for almost 3 hours and really enjoyed our visit. Highly recommended for children of all ages. There's something here for everyone! The only thing to bear in mind is that when you leave you have to walk straight past a very cleverly positioned shop selling toys etc. But a quick little distraction will get you past this if you don't want your child to be drawn in by the colourful selection of tempting toys and treats on display. Unfortunately for us, Leo spotted a big red toy car and ran straight over to it. But we were able to diffuse the situation quickly and leave without purchasing anything. Had we been prepared for the walk past this shop then we would have just carried him whilst pointing at something on the opposite side of the path. It's easily avoided if you know...
Read moreThe park offers a wide variety of play equipment that keeps the kids entertained for hours. The entrance fee is reasonable Rs 50/= for adults and kids go free. The selection of play equipment is impressive. From swings, slides and climbing structures.
Bouncing castle with slides was a hit among the little ones, ticket price is Rs 100/= for the bouncing castle,
there's something for children of all ages( up to 12 Years Old) . My kids particularly enjoyed exploring the different play areas, and we appreciated the effort put into creating a fun and engaging environment.
On the downside, we noticed that some of the play equipment was partly broken or in need of maintenance. This was a bit disappointing as it limited the children's enjoyment and safety. It would be wonderful if the management could prioritise regular inspections and prompt repairs to ensure that all the equipment is in good working condition. Aside from the maintenance issue, we found the park to be relatively clean and well-maintained.
We look forward to our next visit, hoping to see improvements that will make this park even more enjoyable for children...
Read moreThis park is One of the cheapest park in kandy. When I visited kandy I thought of a children park and this is where I went with kids. Not so wide enough but its okay than other parks. If they maintain this with good quality they can attract many from outsiders.
Other than this kandy lacks in entertainment for kids. Not like colombo. Entrance is free for kids and 50 rs per adult . The bouncing thing is broken now. Kandy has high demand for these types if children park and unfortunately couldnt find many . Hope that someone will come up with something in future...
