This museum is located in the house of late Mr. E W Perera. The museum has a collection of various artefacts ranging from flags, clothes, coins, pistols, swords, pottery, jewellery, statues, etc. belonging to the 14th - 19th centuries. The museum provides a great insight into the lives of people who lived many centuries ago. The place is well maintained, and we were given an excellent tour with explanations about the important artefacts on display. This is a great place to visit with kids. The museum is open daily except on Tuesdays. Street parking is available.

This small museum, located in an old house, isn't well known and neither is the Kingdom of Kotte. Most of the palace and other structures were destroyed by the Portuguese but Colombo's ever expanding development has seen further destruction of what was left and even encroachment on the ruins. I couldn't get good photos of the artefacts on display but the posters give a lot of useful information about the Kingdom of Kotte.

A must visit place in Kotte. You can see some valuable antiques. There isn't too much but still I can assure that this place is a must watch location if you are interested in history. Entrance is totally free and the staff is kind and friendly. ❤️

Very plain exhibition, but still worth visiting. Not allowed to take pictures. As I am a foreigner any guidance wasn't given, but I had to write my name in a book for visitors. Good thing it's free of charge
