It's not too crowded most of the time, and they're beach restaurants that open in the evening. There's even a CrossFit gym and beach volleyball court along the way...
You can have a dip, but stick to the beach and don't go far, it's deep and the waves are strong. (Watch it for the lifeguard flags)

Edit: The recent rains have washed up quite a bit of debree and plastic bottles.. Also, the beach seems to be eroding quite fast, it was at least 4-5 meters away 2 months ago. Not sure if it's normal...
